Returning to Wildwood Crest
Karlie Munson, Agency Support Broker
Lauren recently decided to take a summer vacation to Wildwood Crest in New Jersey. The vacation was especially meaningful because it was Lauren’s first time returning to Wildwood Crest since her last visit with her parents when she was younger.
Lauren and her staff, MaryAnn, filled their days with fun activities and memorable experiences together. They enjoyed dining at local restaurants, shopping, swimming, and biking along the boardwalk. Lauren rode the famous tram car both during the day and at night! She did this as a child and was eager to do it again as an adult. Lauren took in the sights, beach, and overall atmosphere. One evening, they watched a spectacular fireworks display that added even more excitement to the trip.
While Lauren enjoyed her entire vacation, her favorite part was the Dolphin Tour. It took place on a speedboat named “The White Shark” in the Atlantic Ocean, making it both thrilling and unforgettable. Lauren was excited to see so many dolphins swimming in their natural habitat. This ended up being the highlight of her trip.
Lauren’s return to Wildwood Crest was filled with adventure and relaxation. She was happy to revisit a place that holds so many memories while creating new ones. Sharing the experience with MaryAnn made the trip even better!

Wild Summer Adventure
Joshua Smith, Director of Administration

Earlier this summer, we gathered for a fun-filled trip to the Maine Wildlife Park, and what a day it was! With temperatures expected to soar, our group got an early start and arrived right as the gates opened, ready to explore all the park had to offer.
We were thrilled to have such a great turnout! It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get to know one another, share some laughs, and build connections.
As we made our way through the park, we had the chance to see many of Maine's fascinating native animals. One of the highlights of the day was spotting a bear, which quickly became a favorite among everyone. From majestic wildlife to beautiful natural surroundings, there was plenty to see and enjoy throughout the morning.
Although it was a hot, hot day, we wisely beat the worst of the afternoon heat by heading out before the sun became too intense. Of course, no outing would be complete without a good meal, so we made time to stop for lunch before ending our adventure.
The day was filled with great conversation, shared experiences, and lots of smiles. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the trip such a success. Here's to many more opportunities to connect, have fun, and create lasting memories together!

Making Memories, One Campfire at a Time
Lisa Houde, Director of Quality Assurance
Matt has been with Residential Resources for almost a year and has been a wonderful addition to our community. One highlight of his year has been attending Camp Allen, a place that brings together many of the things he enjoys most. After his first visit in June 2025, Matt was thrilled to learn he could attend camp for two weeks during the summer of 2026. He recently attended and is already counting down the days until his next visit.
Although rainy weather greeted campers during the first two days, Matt didn't let that dampen his excitement. He enjoyed participating in crafts and watching the counselors prank each other with shaving cream, which provided plenty of laughs. As the weather improved, campers gathered around the campfire for singing and enjoyed s'mores on the first night. Matt especially enjoyed spending time with others and sharing in camp traditions.
When talking about camp, one topic quickly came up: the food! Matt was happy to share all the meals he enjoyed, including waffles with whipped cream, French toast, eggs and tater tots, pizza wraps, sausage, pepper and onion subs, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream sandwiches. There was always something delicious on the menu!
He also enjoyed swimming and spending time outdoors. Matt returned home with many great memories and is eagerly looking forward to his next Camp Allen adventure. With another trip just around the corner, he is excited to make even more memories and have plenty of new stories to share when he returns!

Fun and Fundraising

In July, Glen attended the Margaritaville BBQ Party with friends at the Keene Senior Center, a fundraising event hosted by the Friends of the Senior Center. The event featured a festive summertime atmosphere and was attended by approximately 50 community members. Members and guests enjoyed a delicious meal, including pulled chicken, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, salad, and dessert.
Glen enjoyed visiting with others and participating in an event that supported a meaningful cause. This particular fundraiser helped raise money for the Senior Center's general fund, which supports programs, activities, and services offered to local seniors, just like Glen.
Eating a wonderful meal while raising funds for a great cause was the perfect way to spend the afternoon!

Since moving, Nicole has been busy. Recently, she had fun bowling with friends at Spare Time and has made several trips to local shops for that classic summer treat, ice cream. When at home, she enjoys relaxing and spending time with her new roommate. One of their favorite activities is watching television together.
Nicole continues to grow, making new memories and new friends in her new home. We are excited to see her continued success and happiness in this next chapter of her life.

This summer was a busy and positive time for Angela. With the warmer weather, she explored a variety of familiar and new places, from local walking trails to picnics and visits to Exeter and Stratham parks. She especially enjoyed using the swings and exploring the accessible playground at Exeter, where ramps allow her to move around and climb more independently.
Angela has been spending time at her friend's house playing games, enjoying lunch, and watching movies together. They also go out for lunch on Wednesdays at different restaurants. They take turns choosing the type of food. Angela tends to go for pizza, diners, and burger places. She enjoys breakfast for lunch, especially pancakes. After lunch, they find a local store and look around for the next cool item. She has fun trying on a hat that always makes her friend laugh.
To get out of the heat, she has been going to the local YMCA, where she has made friends with the staff and sees her friends. She loves walking the track and listening to and moving to the music during Zumba. She says that it has been a good summer so far.
