Nature, Family & Adventure
Jessica Wood, Direct Support Professional
Nicki recently spent the day exploring nature with her nephew at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY, and it was a day full of smiles, sunshine, and shared joy. Together, they wandered the wooded trails, discovered hands-on exhibits, and tried out the popular Raquette River Ball Run.
One of Nicki’s favorite moments was watching her nephew light up with excitement as he played on the forest swing. She loved guiding him through the trails and showing him all the interactive activities along the way. The two of them laughed, explored, and made the most of their time outdoors together.
Nicki continues to thrive when she’s surrounded by her favorite things: nature, family, and a little bit of adventure. This special outing was a perfect way for her to combine all three.

Fishing Adventure
Steve Nguz, Program Manager
Sean had an unforgettable time in NH for his very first deep-sea fishing adventure with Residential Resources. From the moment the boat set out into the open ocean, he was filled with excitement and curiosity. The experience of being surrounded by the vast, deep blue sea was both calming and exhilarating.
Sean was thrilled when he managed to reel in a big fish, his first ever! Although he chose to give his impressive catch away, the joy of the moment and the pride of the accomplishment stayed with him.
Sean enjoyed the camaraderie, the fresh ocean air, and the thrill of the catch. He is already looking forward to next year’s trip and can’t wait to cast his line again for another exciting adventure.

Sonya’s Surprise
Rhonda Nubuor, Program Manager
Sonya woke up one sunny morning to find out she was having surprise visitors. To her astonishment, all three of her siblings and their enthusiastic spouses descended upon her home like a cheerful army of outdoor beautification experts!
They lovingly planted the seedlings Sonya had been nurturing inside her home, giving them a new lease on life on the warm earth. Tomato plants were purchased, and two brand-new raised garden boxes were filled with a kaleidoscope of vibrant flowers.
Meanwhile, the house itself got a spa day. Power washers scrubbed away the dust of seasons past, revealing the charming exterior. But perhaps the most heartwarming transformation was the relocation of Sonya’s beloved swing, from the side of the house to a place of honor in the front yard, where it could catch the breeze and the admiration of passersby.
As the sun dipped low and the swing creaked gently in the breeze, Sonya and Becky (her housemate) sat side by side, admiring the transformation. The flowers bloomed, the tomatoes stood tall, and the garden lights twinkled like fireflies. It was a day of laughter, love, and a little bit of dirt, just the way family should be.

Beckett’s Community Contribution
Corrina Charland, Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator
A big shoutout to Beckett, a student from Saranac Lake High School, who’s making a real difference in our community!
Thanks to Beckett’s hard work and a little help from the high school’s technology department, new signs have been created for the food box located outside of the fire department. These signs make it easier for everyone to know where to donate to this vital resource within the community.
The food box has different foods depending on the season. In the winter, the box is open for non-canned goods (think items that won’t freeze easily). In the warmer months, it’s stocked with non-perishable foods like pasta, rice, and snacks.
This food box is a simple but powerful way to help neighbors in need, and Beckett’s contribution is helping it stand out and stay organized.
Residents are encouraged to contribute to the food box, ensuring it remains a reliable source of support for those in need. Donations can be made directly at the Bloomingdale Fire Department, and every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact.

🎶 Yellow Submarine
Earl Cookson, Program Manager
If you've ever had the joy of singing "Yellow Submarine" around Trish Cassidy, you know the magic that happens. Her face lights up with a grin so wide, it could brighten the cloudiest day. That Beatles classic isn’t just a song to her—it’s a spark of joy, a melody that mirrors her vibrant spirit.
Trish lives and breathes music. Whether it's playing softly in the background or blasting through speakers, her world is filled with rhythm and harmony. She’s a true concert goer, always chasing the next live performance. Just recently, she danced the night away at a James Taylor concert, coming home late but glowing with happiness. She rocked, she jived, and she lived every note.
But Trish’s passion doesn’t stop at music. Trish truly shines in the water. A gifted swimmer, she finds freedom in the pool like nowhere else. Soon she will begin swim therapy, a perfect match for someone who feels most alive when gliding through water.
Trish reminds us that life can be beautiful when you embrace what you love. So, the next time you hear "Yellow Submarine," sing it loud and think of Trish. Chances are, she’s smiling somewhere, singing along.

The occasion was made particularly meaningful by the arrival of Dave’s sister, who traveled to Keene to join in the festivities. Her presence added a heartfelt touch to the celebration.
Guests were treated to a meal featuring pizza from Cheshire Village Pizza, a well-regarded local establishment known for its quality and flavor. The choice reflected Dave’s personal taste and added a familiar, comforting element to the day.
Following the meal, a birthday cake was presented, serving as the centerpiece of the celebration. The cake was enjoyed by all in attendance, bringing the celebration to a sweet conclusion.
